Marketing Coordinator

The Liquid Spark Marketing Coordinator supports and contributes to the strategy and execution of marketing programs for clients in the adventure travel industry. This may include updating clients sites, scheduling social media campaigns, and reporting on traffic data. This generalist position works under the direction of the Client Account Lead for each project and serves as a day-to-day liaison for client communications to carry out the defined marketing efforts and understands the details of current client-specific initiatives. This position reports directly to the President.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Supports the team – marketing strategist, PPC/SEO strategist, President, website developer – in evaluating and implementing marketing strategies and tactics.
  2. Coordinates with clients on a timely basis on tasks related to the defined strategy, meeting actionables, and planned marketing tasks and deliverables.
  3. Drafts content for marketing materials such as email campaigns, toolkits, digital guides, social media ad campaigns, website landing pages, PPC campaigns, etc. for agency design and PR partners.
  4. Research data and trends for clients and the agency as needed, examples include new tools or platforms, tourism trends, influencers, economic area data, etc.
  5. Supports creation and implementation of agency tracking tools and processes for agency and client projects, examples include campaign tracking and GTM event tracking.
  6. Schedules and monitors social media campaigns, email campaigns, and A/B test campaigns.
  7. Updates client and agency WordPress sites with content, multimedia, and tracking codes.

Salary and Benefits

Two options are immediately available.

Contract Position:
As a contractor – this position guarantees 20 hours a week, minimum. Contractor rate determined by experience. This position can grow into a full time position for the right person.

Full Time Employee Position:
Compensation: $30,000-35,000, and you get a training budget plus great discounts on
our clients’ services. This position starts with a three month onboarding period followed by a review to assess successful job performance and mutual agency fit. The position includes 2 weeks PTO (eligible after 6 months at full-time status), SEP (Simplified Employee Pension) plan after 3 years, and flexible unpaid leave on a case-by-case approval. Full time positions require a 40-45 hour work week. Occasional longer work weeks are the exception, not the rule. Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years as a Marketing Coordinator or similar role supporting email campaigns, social media campaigns, website content management and optimization, land lead generation tactics and processes.

  • Experience with Facebook Business Manager, Google Drive, Google Analytics, Basecamp (or other project management software), and Photoshop (or other photo editing software).

  • Knowledge of Google Adwords, Google Optimize, and Google Tag Manager along with willingness to learn these tools.

  • Active participation on and knowledge of social media platforms – Facebook and Instagram.

  • Critical thinking.

  • Self starter with an ownership mindset.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Strong copywriting skills.

  • Ability to monitor and work on multiple ongoing projects.

  • Passion for staying up to date on the latest trends and tools.

We’re hiring a well-rounded, early career digital marketing coordinator (minimum 1-2 years experience) to focus on billable client work for marketing strategy.

Liquid Spark is a small agency—a team of 9 people—so if you’re looking for a 401K and a defined career hierarchy, we’re not for you.

We’re a mostly remote team with headquarters in Bryson City, North Carolina in the Smoky Mountains. We’re open to a remote hire for this position.
